Following reports that Trump's bid to end to end birthright citizenship could come into effect before the end of July, an important point has been made with regards to the legal status of his children - specifically, his youngest son, Barron.
For those out of the loop with the controversial policy, the President signed an executive order following his January inauguration, which would limit the amount of kids granted US citizenship.
Prior to this petition, any child born on American soil was automatically made a citizen, even if their parents weren't born in the States, as per the first sentence of the 14th Amendment of the country's Constitution.
"All persons born or naturalised in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside," the ruling reads.

Trump's mission is supposedly aimed at targeting the kids of unauthorised immigrants, as well as those residing in the US legally on temporary visas. It forms part of his wider bid to halt 'all illegal entry into the country' and deport millions of 'illegal aliens'
As we say, however, this will make it really tricky for any children of parents from other nations to receive official citizenship, even if they were born in a US hospital - possibly including that of several of the Trump kids.
It turns out that the President's three eldest children, Don Jr, 47, Ivanka, 43, and Eric, 41, were born to a non-US citizen - his first wife, Ivana Trump, who only held Czech citizenship at the time of their respective births.

Such is similarly this case with Trump's youngest offspring, his 19-year-old son Barron.
The teen was born to his Slovenian-born mother, Melania, back in March 2006.

At the time, however, the First Lady was living in the US with a green card, and only attained American citizenship four months after her son had been born.

Clocking onto this recently, one left-leaning voter who seemingly opposes Trump's order wrote online: "She was not a citizen when he was born sooo...... Barron was not born to an American mother..".
The same user went on to ask: "Doesn't that go against his immigration laws?????".
Another penned: "As Trump moves to end birthright citizenship - it might be a good time to point out the fact that Ivana was not a US citizen when Don Jr, Ivanka & Eric were born and Melania was not a US citizen when Barron was born."
Many of Trump's right-wing followers have since defended his birthright proposition, pointing out that, because Trump was a citizen of America when his children were born, the foursome are technically safe.

As is the President's younger daughter Tiffany, who was born to American actress Marla Maples - with whom Trump had an affair - in 1993.
"His [Barron's] father is a citizen, and the change is not retroactive," one fan pointed out.
"Subsection (a) of this section shall apply only to persons who are born within the United States after 30 days from the date of this order."

Last week, the US Supreme Court announced a major ruling Trump's birthright citizenship plan, by restricting lower courts from issuing nationwide injunctions blocking federal policies.
This, essentially, means that judges can’t just block a law or policy for the entire country, and that Trump's proposal could still go ahead.
Taking to Truth Social following the rulings, the President gushed: "GIANT WIN in the United States Supreme Court!
"Even the Birthright Citizenship Hoax has been, indirectly, hit hard. It had to do with the babies of slaves (same year!), not the SCAMMING of our Immigration process.
"Congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Solicitor General John Sauer, and the entire DOJ. News Conference at the White House."
