Donald Trump has left people seriously shocked after a resurfaced clip of him on The Apprentice revealed his 'real laugh'.

Now, before the 78-year-old Republican got into politics, he was a reality TV figure who fronted the American version of the hit television series which sees a group of contestants battle it out to bag a job as an apprentice to Trump, with the winner receiving a one-year contract to run one of his companies.

One clip from The Celebrity Apprentice has since started its making its rounds on social media once again with many left utterly stunned at Trump's surprising chuckle.

Take a look at the 2006 clip here:

The clip in question saw Trump acting as if he was going to be late for the season five live finale so he asked for 'the fastest driver anywhere in the world' to step in.

He could be seeing stepping out of Trump Tower in New York City only to be greeted by Mario Andretti, a former Formula One driver, who sat in a race car outside the building.

"I'm really glad it's you," Trump told Andretti. "Let's go!"

Andretti then responded: "Hop in Mr Trump. Don't worry, I won't mess up your hair."

The scene then cut to the motorist revving the engine, with Trump strapped in behind him who insisted: "Step on it! We're late!" Before the pair raced down the streets of Manhattan.

As they pulled up to the National History Museum, the camera zoomed in on Trump's smiling face and messed-up hair as he seemed to momentarily break character saying: "Thanks Mario!"

Laughing at the shock of the speedy journey, he exclaimed: "Wow. Holy s**t!"

"Anytime, boss," Andretti replied. "Good luck with the show."

After the clip resurfaced online, one X user penned: "I was just thinking that I don't think I've ever seen him actually laugh."

"The acting was bad but the laugh at the end was real," quipped a second, while a third confessed: "Never seen him laugh like that."

A fourth chimed in: "That is the most genuinely happy I have ever seen Donald Trump."

"Uh, this is actually a big deal," declared another. "It's the first clip I've ever seen where we actually see him do a real laugh. A human laugh. This is wild."

And a final X user echoed: "He actually chuckled and gave a genuine smile. I’ve never seen that from him."
