Hollyoaks star Paul Danan died from ‘cocktail of cocaine and heroin’, inquest hears
Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan died from a cocktail of drugs including cocaine and heroin, an inquest opening has heard.
Announcing his death in January, Danan's management said in a statement: "It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old."
The statement went on: "Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many. His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him.
"During this difficult time, we kindly request respect and privacy for Paul's family, friends, and colleagues. No further comments will be made at this time."

According to Bristol Live, coroner's officer Alexis Camp confirmed the primary cause of death as combined toxicity of heroin, methadone, codeine, pregabalin, cocaine and zopiclone, with a secondary contributory finding of benzodiazepine.
The coroner's hearing was told that Danan was found unresponsive at his flat in Brislington, and that paramedics were called at around 5.20pm on 15 January.
Paramedics and police attended, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Danan played the character Sol Patrick from 1997 to 2001 on the Channel 4 soap and later appeared in Celebrity Love Island in both 2005 and 2006.
In 2017, Danan also took part in Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother, where he was evicted early, saying at the time he hoped the series would give him a 'second chance' at his career.
His other TV appearances included E4’s Celebrity Coach Trip and the Channel 4 sketch comedy programme, The Kevin Bishop Show.
At the time of his death, tributes soon poured in for the star, with one X user writing: "RIP Paul Danan aged just 46. Thoughts with @PaulyDanan family at this sad time. He was great in Celebrity #BBUK #RIPPaulDanan."
"Crikey, how sad about Paul Danan," penned a second, as a third added: "Former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan has sadly died aged 46. May he #RestInPeace."
"Shocked about Paul Danan. Only 46. RIP," echoed another, while a final X user offered: "Saddened to hear of the passing of Hollyoaks and Love Island star Paul Danan he was a good man sending condolences to his family and friends RIP Paul you will be missed."
