A bombshell new Madeleine McCann documentary claiming to detail 'new evidence' in the case has seen viewers all making the same point.

It has been 18 years since Madeleine disappeared while enjoying a holiday with her family in Portugal back in 2007.

Madeleine, who was just three years old at the time, was sleeping in her Praia da Luz hotel apartment alongside her younger twin siblings, Sean and Amelie, while her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, enjoyed a dinner at the Ocean Club restaurant on the night she vanished.

Only when returning to the two-bedroom apartment at around 10.00pm did Madeleine's mum discover the youngster was missing.

After the news broke of her disappearance, millions have been invested in the investigation into Madeleine's whereabouts, which has often been branded the 'most reported on missing person's case in modern history'.

Madeleine is yet to be found, and it remains unknown if she's alive.

This evening (7 May), a brand-new documentary by Channel 4 hit our screens titled Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence.

The doc in question follows an investigation by The Sun into Madeleine's disappearance, which 'uncovers further evidence that could point towards the prime suspect's involvement in this unsolved crime'.

What are people saying about the new Madeleine McCann documentary?

Only a few minutes into the doc, viewers rushed in to share their thoughts with many seemingly shocked that the 18-year-long case is still unsolved and that there are still documentaries being made about it.

One Twitter user wrote: "How is it 2025 and they’re still bringing out documentaries about Madeline McCann??????"

A second echoed: "British TV is so lazy cause why are we still getting new Madeline McCann documentaries."

And a third added: "Can't we have something cheery on please channel 4? I think we've exercised the Madeleine McCann case enough now."

'Unseen evidence' in Madeleine McCann case

The doc details a hard drive which was uncovered at a disused factory bought by the prime suspect in the investigation - German national Christian Brueckner - which reportedly 'contains evidence she is dead'.

German prosecutors believe Brueckner, a convicted sex offender, killed the three-year-old after she vanished during the family holiday.

Brueckner is currently behind bars for the 2005 rape of an American woman in Praia da Luz, but was acquitted of all of these claims last year and could be released as early as September 2025.

This is unless prosecutors are able to prove that he is involved in Madeleine's disappearance, who would soon be turning 22, all those years ago.

Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence is currently available to stream on Channel 4.
