Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to announce that gyms will reopen from in the next few months.
But it won't be business as normal for these facilities, as strict social distancing measures will now be in place to ensure that staff and visitors are safe.
Now, PureGym has given us an idea of what can be expected from gyms when restrictions ease, announcing new rules and regulations which will no doubt be echoed by many other facilities across the country.

The gym chain posted the vid' on its Instagram welcoming customers back, and promising a "cleaner, safer place to train".
New changes include floor markings and even defined boxes on the floor that gym-goers must stay within when exercising, to ensure a safe social distance is kept.
There will be a contactless entry system, which will utilise and app and key fobs, and people will be asked to hand sanitise before they enter.

Plus the gym will be limiting the number of people on the premises at one time using a new app, which will show how busy the gym is, so that customers can pick quieter times to go.
And the gym will be prohibiting working out closely in groups or in pairs, banning 'spotting' and one on one workouts.
On top of all this, staff are now required to clean kit and surfaces regularly throughout the day; and people will be encouraged to wipe down every piece of equipment they use themselves before and after use.
The gym will also be deep cleaned every night with anti-viral disinfectant.

While we don't yet know what other gyms' plans are to keep us safe, given that PureGym was advised by scientists along the way, we can predict a similar set of guidelines wherever we work out.
One thing is for sure, your post lockdown workout might look a little different.
