Like something from a deleted Charlie and the Chocolate Factory scene or a chocolate lover's most lovely lucid dream, a Swiss town just experienced actual chocolate snowfall.
The residents of Olten, Switzerland, got a delicious shock when it began snowing flakes of chocolate on Friday after a malfunction at the local Lindt chocolate factory.
This is surely the most Swiss thing to ever happen?

Following local reports of the cocoa snowfall, the Lindt & Spruengli company confirmed there had been a small defect with the cooling ventilation for a line for roasted cocoa nibs - crushed cocoa beans.
A tweet from the official Twitter account of the town read showed a care bonnet dusted in the tasty debris, captioned: "Cocoa rain in the Olten industrial quarter: the ventilation system is to blame."
According to the company, the defect from the factor based between between Zurich and Basel, combined with strong winds on Friday left a fine cocoa dusting around the nearby area.

Lindt said one care was lightly coated and the company offered to pay for any cleaning needed - though the owner is yet to take them up on the offer.
Come on though, is anyone seriously complaining about this? We'd be looking up to the skies with our mouths open! And don't pretend you wouldn't do the same.
If this news has whet chocolate lovers' tastebuds, then you might like this movie news equally as much.

Netflix has confirmed that the original 1971 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and the Johnny Depp-starring 2005 remake, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are both being added in September.
We like to imagine there was an unexplored room in Wonka's magical factory that snowed chocolate, just like in Olten. Dreamy...
