Supermarket shoppers are being urged to check their cupboards over chocolate salmonella fears.
Customers who shop at Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s have been warned after investigations uncovered certain products, meant for the European market only, were imported to the UK.
The products were recalled in Europe by Ferrero, however some products were imported to the UK by importers not linked to the confectionary company, Manchester Evening News reports.
Notices will be displayed in stores that sell these products to warn customers about the recall.
The point of sale notices will explain to customers what to do if they bought the products as well an explanation about why they’re being recalled.
If you purchased one of the following products but you have not eaten it yet, it’s important to take them back to the store you purchased them from and request a refund.
