We never thought we'd want a mullet, but since Rihanna showed off her new extreme hairstyle, we're sold.

Joining the likes of Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish and Maisie Williams, 32-year-old Ri has managed to make the mullet cool again, and we're all for it.

Rihanna first sported her 2020 mullet back in September, for her Savage X Fenty lingerie show. It featured slick shaved sides and long layers.

But now, the mullet has taken on a brand new look as we head into 2021. Announcing the launch of Fenty Skin on Sephora, Ri's make up artist Hector Espinal posted a video of Ri speaking about the launch.

And her mullet is incredible! We particularly love how it blends a sleek pixie cut, with shaggy layers down her shoulders. And fans can't get enough of it either, with followers posting a whole lot of love on the clip.

One person commented: "This hair is all the way cute!"

Meanwhile another added: "Rihanna makes me want to get a mullet."

"Rihanna has a mullet and it's so fire on herrrr...I can't," tweeted one, while another confirmed: "Rihanna really can pull off a mullet."

Another went as far as to say: "Y'all are sick if you don't like Rihanna's mullet."

It's not the first time Rihanna has opted for the style - she also sported one back in 2014, too.

But Ri isn't the only celeb. In fact, earlier this month we told you how Zac Efron has also had his hair chopped into a mullet.

Currently living in Australia, the High School Musical star popped into Attaboy Hair at Kent Town, where the team treated him to a whole new look in the form of a mullet.

"Zac Efron dropped into Attaboy Hair for a tidy up today, so we gave him a mullet," they said.

"He also gave the boss man, Robby, a trim - and made him feel 17 again."

Well, looks like quite a few famous faces are opting for the divisive look! Will 2021 be the year of the mullet?!
