The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a new photograph of Prince Louis to mark his third birthday.

On Thursday evening, Kensington Palace shared the image over on Instagram, which was captioned: "Three tomorrow!
"Taken earlier this week by The Duchess before he left for his first day of nursery, The Duke and Duchess are pleased to share a new image of Prince Louis."

Mum Kate is a keen photographer, and regularly shares snaps of the children to mark birthdays and special occasions.
In the mega adorable snap, Louis can be seen wearing his brand new nursery uniform, and sitting on a red bicycle shortly before he started his first day at Willcocks Nursery School.
Louis is following in the footsteps of older sibling, Princess Charlotte, five, who also attended the same nursery before moving on to school.

Meanwhile, Prince George attended the Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk.
It's believed little Louis was likely greeted by his favourite toy or a picture from home on his first day of nursery, a gesture for new children to help them along with the transition.
And fans can't believe how much Louis resembles his older brother George, with one commenting: "He's just like George :scream:.
Meanwhile another said: "Oh my goodness he is absolutely adorable. Just like his big brother and sister."

Others were adamant Louis looks just like mum Kate, with one writing: "HE'S CLEARLY MUMMY TWIN!!!"
And another said: "Happy Birthday Louis! Looks like his Mom."
Louis was born on St George's Day, on 23 April 2018, at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. He weighed 8lb 7oz.
