Baba Vanga's top four predictions for 2024 revealed

Let's hope she's wrong about a few of these...

With the new year now upon us, many people will no doubt be looking ahead at what's in store, whether it's a big holiday that's been booked for months, your best friend's wedding or a new home... Or just, y'know, that last bit of brie in the fridge that needs eating up.

But what does a famed Bulgarian mystic reckon we've got coming our way for 2024?

Of course, some of us might approach her predictions with some level of scepticism, but her prophecies have become globally-renowned and, at times, terrifyingly accurate - not bad considering she's actually been dead for the last 27 years.

Known as Baba Vanga, this 84-year-old woman had been blind since her early childhood, but was been able able to predict a range of wild events throughout history, and even after she'd died.

Baba Vanga's predictions go up until the year 5079.

In fact, her predictions have been so bang on that Soviet leaders reportedly even sought her counsel following the several world wars of the 20th century.

And an astonishingly low 15 percent of her predictions have been wrong so far.

She previously predicted that large cities around the world would be hit by large-scale droughts and water shortages, and last year, the UK suffered the driest July since 1935 and an officially declared drought on 12 August.

Back in 1989, she reportedly foresaw the 9/11 attack, warning people at the time:

"Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing."

Just nine years before, Vanga was said to have predicted that Kursk would be ‘covered with water and the whole world will weep over it’ in a 1999 event.

Though it's not hugely clear that she was speaking of the Russian city, one year later there would be sunken nuclear submarine killing 118 crew members in this area.

In 1969, she had a vision of the death of Indira Gandhi - the former prime minister of India.

"The dress will destroy her. I see an orange-yellow dress in the smoke and fire," she said at the time.

In the 1980s, Gandhi committed an atrocious attack against the Golden Temple before being shot dead by her bodyguards, wearing a saree with similar colours on the day she was killed.

And, the late mystic apparently predicted that the 44th President of the US would be a black man, which happened to be the year Barack Obama took over.

Even more spooky than that, however, is that the alleged clairvoyant was able to her own death six years before it happened, pointing to 11 August, 1996, as the day it would all end for her, which it did.

With a proven track record for her alarmingly correct prophecies, it's no surprise that believers have been desperate to know what she thought would be in store for the year 2024.

Well, luckily, Vanga made predictions for every year up until 5079, and when it comes to this year's estimations, it's apparently going to be nothing short of chaos...

According to those who have her prophesies to hand, Vanga predicted for 2024:

  • The assassination of Russian president Vladimir Putin
  • An increase in terror attacks across Europe
  • A series of biological attacks
  • A huge economic crisis of some kind

Let's just hope this time it's a year where she gets a few things wrong, eh?
