Prosecutors have shared disturbing new details surrounding the latest arrest of Andrew and Tristan Tate.

Andrew - a self-proclaimed misogynist known for promoting traditionalist views of women online - and his brother Tristan were apprehended in Miami, Florida, by the US Marshals Service on Saturday (18 July).

They were taken into custody on a sealed warrant before being detained.

Appearing in US federal court two days later, the polarising pair - who have British and American citizenship, but moved to Romania in 2016 - were informed they could be extradited to the UK in light of new rape and sex trafficking charges.

Released following their attendance in court, federal documents reveal that complaints were filed to British officials by four women, alleging that the Tates had subjected them to both sexual and physical abuse.

The women claim they were choked by both Andrew and Tristan, sometimes to the point of passing out, before being raped.

In court, the brothers denied the allegations against them.

Andrew - who previously used his platform to become one of the world's most prominent figures in the 'manosphere' - and Tristan were already facing rape and human trafficking charges in the UK.

They were also arrested in Romania in 2022, where they're still facing charges of human trafficking and forming a criminal group with the purpose of sexually exploiting women. Their travel ban was lifted last year, after which they flew to Florida.

The latest four complaints bring the total charges they're jointly facing in the UK, however, to a staggering 59.

One of the four victims to detail their encounters with the Tates told British police that, while she worked in the 'webcam business', Andrew, 39, placed her into a chokehold that caused her to lose consciousness, CNN reports, citing federal filings.

She claimed he subsequently raped her in an attack at her Bedford, England, home in 2015.

Another of the women claimed she and Andrew had consensual sex in 2014 after meeting on a dating app. The second time they met up at her home in Manchester, he allegedly pinned her down during intercourse, leaving her unable to breathe.

She told police she was 'afraid he would not stop and was going to kill' her.

According to prosecutors, the controversial podcaster now faces a further seven counts of rape, as well as three sex trafficking charges, three assault charges, and 19 more that relate to 'indecent images of a child and extreme pornography'.

This brings his personal total up to 42, according to the UK's Crown Prosecution Service and Bedfordshire Police.

Tristan, meanwhile, stands accused of repeatedly raping a woman with whom he was in a long-term romantic relationship between 2012 and 2013.

The victim claims she was also choked to the point of losing consciousness, and was hit by a belt on several occasions, which caused 'serious bruising and welts' across her body. In one instance, she continued, his strike caused her a black eye.

Tristan now faces two new rape charges, on top of one sexual assault count and three counts of 'facilitating travel for exploitation', prosecutors said, bringing his personal total up to 17.

Their attorney, Joseph McBride vowed following their hearing to fight against the request to have the brothers transported to Britain, describing the charges as a 'political hit ordered by a dying empire'.

He added: "Andrew and Tristan Tate will walk free. America does not do Britain's political dirty work. Not here. Never.”

McBride has also issued an appeal to the Trump administration for intervention.
