American model Brooks Nader is being praised after opening up about a period leak she suffered at Wimbledon.

We’ve all been there, when you’ve got a big day and you’re all glammed up and then the worst thing happens - you feel that gush down there and realise that time of the month has come around again.

If you’re lucky, you can sometimes manage the damage before it goes further than your underwear, but in some cases - as most women will know - the blood will have already stained your clothing before you can do anything about it.

And the 28-year-old model has now sparked an important conversation around the somewhat taboo topic as she attended the fifth day of the tennis tournament on Friday.

She’s one of the many famous faces who have turned up for the sporting event so far - including Olivia Rodrigo, David Beckham and John Cena.

In a short clip posted to her TikTok, Nader wrote on the screen: “Tries to be chic, starts [period] at Wimbledon.” Take a look for yourself below:

She films her face before panning the camera to her sisters looking at her, jokingly looking down in shock at her skirt.

The model then showed a clip of her turning around in the stunning white skirt she was wearing, which was marked by a bloodstain on the back after she started her period and bled through the fabric.

Nader captioned the clip with: “Of course,” making light of the situation and normalising the reality of menstruation.

Why does it always seem to be when you’re wearing white?

Anyway, Nader’s TikTok has quickly done the rounds on social media and people are applauding the model for her honesty.

Fans wrote in the comments: “You’re so real for this” and “Normalising periods,” alongside a series of clapping emojis.

A third penned: “This is so refreshing to see, good for you babes.” Meanwhile, a fourth TikTok user wrote: “I’m just a girllllll. Thanks for normalising this cause it happens to us all.”

And others chimed in with: “I love that you shared this! first time I've seen you but this is real life for women!” and “Thank you for being real”.

Someone else added: “Girl it has happened to all of us! Maybe not at Wimbledon...but this is so real” with another fan quipping: “Absolute Queen, keeping it real for us ladies”.

“Mind you, this is my first impression of you… and it's an instant follow,” wrote another commenter.

“Dare I say you’re more chic now,” complimented another.

Elsewhere, another social media user insisted: “Mind you, this is my first impression of you… and it's an instant follow.”

The video has already been seen by a whopping two million people and counting as the comments continue and earn her a whole new horde of followers.

Hear, hear, Brooke - on behalf of the girlies, we’re loving the honesty!
