Hugh Hefner's former wife has revealed how the Playboy mansion 'broke' her, including one rather disgusting reality about living in the infamous manor.
Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine, was known to have many girlfriends and wives throughout his life - one of which was Crystal Harris, who he married in 2012.
Crystal moved into the gigantic Los Angeles house in 2009 when she began dating the multi-millionaire - who's 'emotional abuse' she has previously spoken about - but it wasn't long before she saw what really went on behind the scenes.

The now 39-year-old was initially fascinated by the culturally historic home, located in Los Angeles.
But she quickly realised that it was cold, dirty and mouldy, and actually made her sick.

Writing in her memoir, Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself, she reflected on the time Hefner let her take the organisation of the home into her own hands.

She said, as per RadarOnline: "This was a beautiful English Tudor home - and my family is from England - on five acres in the middle of LA.
"But over time, I saw that this place doesn't really get cleaned that well and there's mould. It just felt rundown and gross after a while."
She added: "The whole time the mansion was breaking me down, one way or another. Now it was breaking down my health. The house was literally making me sick.
"Everything was mouldy and dusty and it was just hoarder central in the mansion."

An inspector even revealed that there was fungus in the vents above where she had been sitting for eight years.

Following the revelation, the enormous property went under a $2.5 million mould remediation. And after Hefner's death in 2017 when he was 91, the home underwent a $10 million renovation.
Speaking of the renovation, one user on Reddit said: "I did all the purchasing for the new owner's interior design and I can tell you that deliveries were continually being pushed back because renovations were not going well.

"I'm not surprised by this at all, he was a gross dude and I can't imagine he cared much about the people who lived and worked there."
Giving further insight, they added: "I can say though the design is much better than Hefner's, it's all very gaudy and try-hard. Expensive for expensives sake."
Billionaire Daren Metropoulos, co-owner of Hostess Brands, now owns the mansion after purchasing it in 2016 for a whopping $100 million.
