Woman says she struggles to make friends because women are jealous of her looks

She says her beauty is a curse

Now, I'm sure we've all heard the saying 'beauty is pain' at least once in our lives but it seems one woman has really taken it to the next level.

Fran Sawyer, who hails from Basingstoke, has opened up about how she's found it difficult navigating friendships with other women due to her looks.

The 55-year-old mum revealed she struggles to make friends because women are 'jealous' of her 'glamorous' appearance.

Fran has seemed to suffer the brunt of her beauty so much so that even at over half a century old - she's still never been invited to a wedding or has any female friends.

"Women just judge me, everyone judges me," she told the Daily Star. "They judge me because I’m glamorous, and when you’re glamorous and attractive it’s really hard as you just want to be liked and you never will be."

She claimed if such women were 'confident' then they 'wouldn't worry about it', adding: "I make an effort with them because maybe I’m so confident that I try as they’re a bit insecure.

"I try my hardest to make friends, but it just doesn’t work out."

The mum claimed that her looks even affects the school run, saying that she was even once instructed to move away from the school gates from a past headteacher because she was allegedly 'upsetting the ladies' by being there.

She added: "I could wear no makeup go in a pub and women don’t like me. I used to go to the school gates - my son went to a private school - and the headmistress would say to me 'you’re upsetting the other ladies, can you park down the road'."

While not having a tight-knit group of gal pals would have previously 'hurt' her in the past, Fran, who has impressively raised a hefty £100,000 for charity with her selfies, now doesn't let it bother her.

"It used to really hurt me and something clicked in my brain and I thought 'I’m quite special I’m going to raise all that money and give them something to talk about'," she went on.

"And that’s what I did. I used to go up to the school and stand on my own because no one would talk to me."

Fran, who boasts 115k followers on Instagram, added: "I think the internet has gotten easier but the women are jealous.

"I’m a bit of a gobs**te, I’m confident but I don’t think I’m Miss World because I’m grounded. But I haven’t particularly got women friends and if so, they don’t invite me out with their other friends."

Fran says she no longer worries about 'other people's opinions'.

She added that it was 'really weird' that she's never had an invitation extended to her to attend a wedding.

Fran said she no longer worries about 'other people's opinions' if they don't know her.

"I had quite a few women saying ‘why are you doing sexy stories at 50, you should be ashamed of yourself. But I’ve worn the s**t badge for years and I’m quite proud of that," she continued.

"As my mum says, they wouldn’t be able to do it and they’re in their 40s, so why worry about them!"

The Brit resolved: "Maybe beauty is a curse. But I think it’s a confidence thing, underneath I bet they’re thinking 'I want to be like Fran' because I don’t give a s**t."
