Whether or not you believe in the paranormal, there's nothing more fascinating that hearing an alleged psychic's predictions for the future.

If you're not so superstitious, the chances are you'll find the estimations amusing and vague.

But there's one Bulgarian mystic that just might leave you staggered by her globally-renowned, terrifyingly accurate predictions for the future of our world.

You'll likely be more convinced when you hear that she's actually been dead for the last 26 years...

Known as Baba Vanga, this 84-year-old woman had been blind since her early childhood, but was been able able to predict a range of wild events throughout history, and even after she'd died.

In fact, her predictions have been so bang on that Soviet leaders reportedly even sought her counsel following the several world wars of the 20th century.

Baba Vanga's predictions go up until the year 5079.

And an astonishingly low 15 percent of her predictions have been wrong so far.

She previously predicted that large cities around the world would be hit by large-scale droughts and water shortages, and last year, the UK suffered the driest July since 1935 and an officially declared drought on 12th August.

Back in 1989, she foresaw the 9/11 attack, reportedly warning people at the time:

"Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing."

Just nine years prior, Vanga was said to have predicted that Kursk would be ‘covered with water and the whole world will weep over it’ in a 1999 event.

Though it's not hugely clear that she was speaking of the Russian city, one year later there would be sunken nuclear submarine killing 118 crew members in this area.

In 1969, she had a vision of the death of Indira Gandhi - the former prime minister of India.

"The dress will destroy her. I see an orange-yellow dress in the smoke and fire," she said at the time.

In the 1980s, Gandhi committed an atrocious attack against the Golden Temple before being shot dead by her bodyguards as revenge, wearing a saree with similar colours on the day she was killed.

And, the late mystic apparently predicted that the 44th President of the US would be a black man, which happened to be the year Barack Obama took over.

Even more spooky than that, however, is that the alleged clairvoyant was able to her own death six years before it happened, pointing to 11 August, 1996, as the day it would all end for her, which it did.

With a proven track record for her alarmingly correct prophecies, it's no surprise that believers have been desperate to know what she thought would be in store for the year 2024.

Well, luckily, Vanga made predictions for every year up until 5079, and when it comes to next year's estimations, it's apparently going to be nothing short of chaos...

According to those who have her prophesies to hand, Vanga predicted for 2024:

  • The assassination of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
  • An increase in terror attacks across Europe.
  • A series of biological attacks.
  • A huge economic crisis of some kind.

Let's hope we can add to her 15 percent of wrong predictions next year...
