Conjoined twins Brittany and Abby Hensel have been inundated with questions about their lives ever since they first appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 1996.

For those unfamiliar with the sisters, Brittany and Abby were born in 1990, and immediately hit international headlines for having been sharing just one body. In fact, all of their organs below the waist - as well as their blood supply - is shared.

As such, they're largely considered the world's most famous conjoined twins, and even landed their very own TV show, Abby and Brittany, which aired on TLC.

Though the hit true-life series later came to an end, and the pair fell somewhat out of the spotlight for some time, their fame recently resurged after it was revealed that Abby had quietly tied the knot.

In 2021, she married hubby Josh Bowling, with their wedding snaps - which, naturally, included Brittany - went viral online.

In a brand new update this week, however, it appears as though the couple have welcomed their first child.

After a video - showing Abby and Brittany walking to a car holding a baby carrier - first raised questions last month, a new TikTok shared by the twins seems to confirm that they've become parents.

Sharing a horde of paparazzi pictures from the moment in the specific clip, the pair simply captioned the video, 'Blessed', implying they'd welcomed a new addition.

Following their latest social media update, fans' curiosity has understandable been piqued with regards to the dynamic of Abby's relationship with Josh, as well as Brittany's parental guardianship over the child - which hasn't definitely been confirmed as Abby and Josh's as of yet.

"I have so many questions," one claimed, while a second penned: "Is this their child? Or baby sitting?"

A third questioned also: "So who had the baby? What happens if only one wants to give birth and the other doesn’t?"

Though the Hensels haven't yet addressed these concerns directly, the pair previously attempted to quash a number of online theories regarding their relationships.

On their titular TV series some years ago, Abby and Brittany's mother Patty voiced questions over potential parenting.

"That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them," the mother-of-two explained at the time.

"Yeah, we're going to be moms," Brittany agreed. "The whole world doesn't need to know who we are seeing, what we are doing and when we are going to do it. But believe me, we are totally different people."

For reference, being that Abby and Brittany are dicephalus conjoined twins, they essentially share everything except from their hearts, lungs, and stomachs which are separate.

Whilst the former controls the right side of the body, specifically the arm and leg, the latter controls the right.

This is why the twins have also long been able to drive a car, having passed their tests on their 16th birthdays.

"Abby takes over the pedals and the shifter, we both steer, and I take over the blinker and the lights," Brittany explained in the show.

"I don't know what would happen if they got pulled over for speeding," their mother Patty went on. "Would they each get a ticket or just Abby because it's her foot on the accelerator?"
