They say it's the thought that counts when gift-giving however one school seriously tested their teacher's patience with their present. We all love health and safety but this gift is pushing it.

The art teacher, who posts on TikTok as @lil.yambs, has gone viral after revealing her special surprise for the festive season. Watch the hilarious unwrapping video below:

After sharing her understandably confused reaction on the video sharing platform, the video has racked up over 178,000 views and more than 17,000 likes.

“Am I a brat? Lol,” she captioned the hilarious clip.

“I’m confused. Is this a joke?” the teacher asked.

A teacher on TikTok shared her disappointment after getting a Covid-19 test for Christmas.

“I got my Christmas present from the school. It’s literally a Covid rapid test.”

Responses to the gift itself are mixed in the comments, with one TikToker saying: “Sounds like they just gave you a five day vacation."

Responding with three laughing-while-crying emojis, another person teased: “Sorry but OMG I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad.

A shocked social media user replied: “You get a Christmas present from your school?”

Other teachers lamented the gifts they received from their school and realised maybe it wasn't as bad as a Covid-19 test. "Ugh, girl I thought a $5 gift card was bad from my school. Im sorry,” said one.

The teacher was shocked by the gift.

“The nerve to wrap it,” someone else joked, while another dismayed TikToker wrote: "“They wasted time wrapping that."

Another teacher shared: “Last year we got served hot cocoa that was left over from an event for the kids lmao.”

In other news you must know this Christmas Eve Eve, a woman has shared exactly how to make sure to catch a glimpse at Father Christmas on your doorbell camera.

In a post on Facebook, one mum explained: "My children think they are going to catch Father Christmas on the Ring doorbell - we don't have a chimney so he uses a magic key. They have asked if they can check the camera on Christmas Day."

A mum in the comments asked if an image of Father Christmas could be edited flying across the video.

Christmas is a time for generosity, and the people came through with instructions on how to make your doorbell camera magical. You can read all about it here.
