How 79-year-old millionaire looking for 'breeder' wife plans to have kids

Sir Benjamin Slade hopes for a son to run Maunsel House in Bridgwater, his grand 1,300-acre estate

An elderly British aristocrat seeking a considerably younger woman has shed light on the unconventional way he hopes she'll provide him with an heir.

Sir Benjamin Slade, a 79-year-old retired socialite and the 7th Baronet of Somerset, has ceaselessly hit headlines in recent years for his pursuit of a - how he so puts it - 'good breeder' to mate with.

Born in 1945 into the highly affluent Slade family, he hopes to have a son to run Maunsel House, his grand 1,300-acre estate in Bridgwater.

He has also promised the woman who steals his heart annual payments of £50,000 to help the child with his duties, in addition to a series of bonuses, a car, a house, expenses, food, and holidays.

When it comes to his plans to impregnate the lucky lady he chooses, Slade has insisted he doesn't plan on breaking a sweat himself.

Appearing on the Channel 5 programme Millionaire Age Gap Love recently, he claimed: "I don't think I'm too old to have children because I have a nine-month supply frozen in a sperm bank and I can use that."

Despite having been married before and fathering an 'illegitimate' daughter, Slade claims he'd tried everything from dating apps and reality TV to find a yummy mummy, but insists his long list of requirements has always stopped him short.

"I've got lots lots of lovely girls that would love to marry at 70 but they are getting older," he told Somerset County Gazette last year. "Last a few years and then you die and then they might die and that is a risk. I meet people socially and I have a very social life and I am introduced to people of my own."

When it comes to the specifics, Slade insisted the mother of his future child must be at least 20 years his junior for 'tax reasons', have a driving licence and (ideally) a helicopter licence, hail from a high-profile family with its own coat of arms.

The woman in question should be a good ballroom dancer who can accurately fire a shotgun, play regular bridge and backgammon, do a crossword, walk and swim.

She must not, meanwhile, be a Scorpio, a drinker or drug user, a lesbian, a communist, Scottish, or hail from countries beginning with an 'I' or with green in the flag, with the exception of Italy and North India.

He's fine with 'Canadians, Americans, Germans and Northern Europeans - what I like to call similar people'.

Furthermore, she mustn't read The Guardian or be taller than 5ft 5.

As mentioned, Slade was previously married to fellow socialite Pauline Carol Myburgh, separating from her in 1989 after 12 years together, after claiming her 17 cats impeded on their relationship.

He was also romantically involved with his partner's domestic worker, Bridget Convey, until 2017, when he called things off around his 50th birthday, having become clear that she'd never supply him with an heir.
