Pornhub’s annual review reveals one major change in what Millennials have been searching

Those between 25-34 made a pretty big switch when it came to what they enjoyed the most on the adult site this year

Every year, Pornhub publishes its eagerly-anticipated Year in Review to give its visitors, and anyone else who is a tad curious, a chance to find out all the nitty gritty details about people's sexual preferences when it comes to pornography taste.

Interestingly, this year it would appear that Pornhub users were most keen on seeing 'gentler, more intimate-looking sex', with the search term 'mindful please' rising by 122 per cent, and 'ethical porn' shooting up by an equally relieving 92 per cent.

Additionally, the annual review has also shown just how much the different generations differ when it comes to what they search for when they want to get their rocks off.

In fact, there's been a pretty notable change in what Millennials specifically have been searching this year compared to 2023.

Now just like last year, the generations - which have been categorised into four groups; Gen Z (18-24), Gen Y or Millennials (25-34), Gen X (35-54) and Boomers (+55) - differ quite a bit from one group to the next.

Gen Z had a thing for 'Vertical Videos' and 'Hentai' and their interests were higher around non-porn style porn than actual porn.

For example, Music, SFW (safe for work), and Gaming all appear in their top relative categories, with the statisticians theorising: "It seems they are looking to get more from their experience on Pornhub than watching purely sex videos.

"It’s almost like Gen Z is watching Pornhub for the podcasts, like Boomers read Playboy for the articles."

Gen X enjoyed Compilation, Role Play and Feet, while Boomers were 'a little more predictable' in their tastes.

Once again, the categories Handjob, BBW, and Bisexual Male all appeared again on their proportional interests this year, alongside Gangbangs and Double Penetration, which topped their proportional category interests.

So, what were Millennials most into this year?

Well, according to the statisticians, these lot clearly seemed to like FMM - footage of a threesome with one lady and two gentlemen - as they were proportionally higher to view the category by +69 per cent.

This was a pretty major change compared to last year, given that 2023 saw way more searches for FFM - which is content with, you guessed it, two women and one man.

This number is up +44 per cent from last year, when they were +25 per cent more likely to view the category.

Millennials also seemed to enjoy Tattooed Women more at +45 per cent, while the Parody category is a new one on the list of which they were +39 per cent more likely to view.

Since last year, their interests have changed significantly, with only Tattooed Women remaining among the group’s top relative categories.

Well, it's clear we all seem to know each other a little bit better now...
