A husband has sparked a wave of fury online after leaving a three-word note next to their sink full of dirty dishes.

Susan Lehman, who goes by the handle @susandoingsusanthings online, took to TikTok to share with her followers a little inside look into her domestic life.

The 43-year-old has since sparked a heated debate online after revealing what the handwritten note said, with half of the internet left utterly outraged and the other half left singing her hubby's praises.

Susan began by telling her followers: "My husband had people over for a big game last night and I like look at all these freaking dishes in the sink."

However, her initial frustration was soon quashed after she noticed what a 'good guy' her husband was.

"But see, the thing ism just because he left me the note makes me want to tackle it," the TikToker revealed. "Right? Like I have morning energy, it's fine.

"But I just love that he acknowledges that he left a mess in the sink."

She then reassured viewers 'don't worry', adding: "You know, he'll take responsibility for it. But anyways, we've come so far!"

Susan captioned the post: "Leaving a simple note instantly made me not care about the dishes in the sink!!

"I love communication and we have come so far!!"

The clip has since gone viral after clocking up over three million views on the platform alongside thousands of comments from people eager to weigh in on the situation.

Some totally swooned at the note, completely echoing Susan's sentiments: "Sometimes it’s the little things!"

"The note changes everything! Amazing communication!" praised a second.

A third chimed in: "The fact that everything is in the sink is quite something already!"

"Its not about the fact he's going to do it eventually. Its about him letting her know through healthy communication in order to make her feel relieved," explained a fourth.

While a fifth gushed: "I love this communication. He was too tired to do it after a fun 'party' but knew that if he didn't do it, you would've been annoyed!"

Another added: "Wow love seeing a healthy and happy relationship!"

Others, however, couldn't have disagreed more.

The TikTok sparked a heated debate online.

"I can’t figure out if these comments and replies are satire or not," admitted one TikTok user.

Me neither to be absolutely honest.

A second hit out 'bare minimum', while a third declared: "The bar is on the floor."

"The bar is in hell," echoed a fourth, while someone else penned: "Adding to the 'the bar is low' thought here. Of course he should do them and communicate that he’d do them…"

A sixth called the note 'reverse psychology', adding: "He left the note knowing you would do it anyway"

"Nah but how long do you have to wait for it to get done?" asked another.

A final TikTok user revealed: "Oh. I would go OFF."

And, for everyone wondering, Susan confirmed her hubby did, in fact, later do the dishes.
