It's that time of year when a number of companies publish their long-awaited year-in-review.
Whether it's Spotify Wrapped, Year in Monzo or even Tinder's Year in Swipe - it's simply a given that we'll be absolutely flooded with algorithm data, random statistics and bizarre reports about what we've all been getting up to over the past 365 days.
And the world of adult content is no exception, as Ersties, one of the leading ethical adult entertainment platforms, has just published a report revealing the three most searched categories in 2025.
The porn site, which was created by women and focused on female pleasure, has now unveiled what it calls its annual 'Ethical Porn Trends Report', highlighting what viewers around the world watched, searched for, and desired most this past year.

According to Ersties, 'anal' emerged as the most-searched general category on the site in 2025 - but it had a notable twist compared to mainstream trends.
Interestingly, searches 'overwhelmingly funnelled' into shoots where performers explicitly discussed boundaries, preparation, and pleasure cues, which Ersties says highlights 'a growing appetite for consensual, realistic depictions of anal play rather than intense or performative styles typical on other platforms'.
"A significant part of why these shoots are so popular is that they’re not just visually appealing, but also educational for viewers," Ersties explained.

"Performers talk openly about what they like, how they prepare, what feels good, and how they check in with each other. It’s honest, friendly, and takes the pressure off the idea that anal has to look 'perfect'."
Second on the list was 'squirt', followed by the third most-searched general category being 'threesome'.
Ersties also took the time to compile a list of 'surprise category' trends, with the 'most requested' fetishes being as follows:
- More pegging
- More feet content
- More pee-play
- Armpit licking
- Sweaty armpits
- Tights and stockings

"Alongside the big mainstream categories, Ersties saw a noticeable rise in searches for more niche, playful, and highly specific interests," Ersties explained.
"Viewers asked for everything from pegging to feet-focused content, and there was also growing curiosity around armpit play, including searches for 'sweaty armpits' and 'armpit licking'. Even tights and stockings made a strong appearance, showing that classic fabric fetishes never really go out of style.
"As more people feel comfortable looking up exactly what they like, Ersties continues to be a space where those curiosities can be explored without judgment and with plenty of transparency."
