Get ready for your social media feeds to be absolutely flooded with algorithm data, funky infographics and a whole bunch of statistics as Spotify Wrapped 2025 has finally landed!
There's nothing quite like a rundown of your entire year in music to get you feeling Christmassy, and it's clear that Spotify knows exactly how to get their hundreds of millions of listeners talking about the past 365 days of songs, albums, playlists and all the rest.
Each year, the company adds a new little feature to the year in review, which basically compiles users' listening habits to discern their most-played songs, favourite artists and top podcasts, with the latest update in the annual rundown being an 'age' feature, and it has left music lovers absolutely speechless.
The feature in question shows some text reading: "Age is just a number. So don't take this personally."

It then flashes up with what Spotify has determined to be your 'listening age' with the number in a big, bright-orange font at the centre of the screen, along with a little explainer on which decade of music you were most into throughout 2025.
People who have either been landed with an age decades older than they actually are or, equally, an embarrassing number of years younger, have since rushed to social media to share their reactions to the
"The listening age I just got on Spotify Wrapped..." lamented one X user.

A second piped up: "Spotify really said your soul is 47, but your playlist is 19."
"At least I have taste..." quipped a third, while a fourth chimed in: "I swear my music taste will make you think I'm at least 45."

A fifth confessed: "Me checking my listening age and realising I’ve been emotionally living in the wrong decade my whole life."

"Spotify telling me my 'listening age' is wild because emotionally I’m 80," joked a sixth.
"Spotify Wrapped really said: 'Congrats, you listen like a 46-year-old dad driving to work,'" quipped a seventh.
Another commented: "This is crazy…"
And a final X user echoed: "'Listening Age' is going to expose everyone! I'm either 19 or 65, no in-between. Prepare for the collective identity crisis."

I myself, a proud member of Gen Z, have been lumped with a '67' listening age with Spotify telling me: "You were into music from the early 70s. You're an old soul."
Well, I guess I'll take that as a compliment then!
