A woman's response to a man lying close to her on a near empty beach has divided opinion across TikTok.

The clip shared to the app, shows a woman kicking sand over a man that has laid a mere 10ft away from her, on an otherwise empty beach.

The video, uploaded by user @mrs.presley, shows the woman panning across the practically 'empty' beach with only a few walkers in the distance.

While there is a lot of empty space, one man chooses to lie his beach towel close by causing the woman filming to be annoyed.

The TikTok account captions the video saying: "when an old man parks himself 10 ft in front of ur towel on a completely empty beach while u were napping and u know what needs to be done".

The TikTok video has over 805 likes and nearly 10,000 likes. (

The woman then promises to make the situation awkward for him, before getting up and sprinting past him towards the sea and kicking up sand over him in the process. He is later filmed packing up his stuff and leaving, looking back at her one last time.

Some TikTok users have praised her revenge saying it's "deserved", whereas others think she's being unfair. One TikTok user even accused her of harassing the man instead, writing: "Looks more like your harassing him"

Another added: "Didn't see him doing anything wrong."

However, one user pointed out the responses criticising the revenge move appeared to mainly come from other men: "Notice how the MEN think you overreacted and the MEN think you could’ve moved. Girl I liked it, passive-aggressive and it worked."

The comments also uncovered other users sharing the moments they've felt intimidated by strangers coming unnecessarily close to them. One viewer wrote: "this is like when you’re the only person on the 500 treadmills at the gym and someone gets on the one right next to you".

Another added: "It’s like when you park away from everyone and then someone parks next to you".
