Parents are loving one mum's summer holiday rules for her kids.

Posting to Facebook, the mum revealed how she plans to get her kids to help around the house while they're off school - and other parents are inspired by her organised plan, with many taking inspiration for their own families.

People are loving the rules.

The post shows a rota, split into different categories and days, listing what the kids must do 'every day' - such as making their beds, opening their curtains, tidying their desks and putting washing in the basket - as well as other jobs they're assigned on different days.

For example, each of the kids is tasked with helping make lunch on different days, while on Fridays they all chip in to make it together.

They are each in charge of sorting the recycling at different times too, as well as washing up after lunch.

The rules were shared on Facebook.

The next section reveals other chores assigned to each child depending on the day of the week. For example, one must hoover and polish the lounge on a Monday, wipe around the downstairs bathroom on a Tuesday, wipe around the upstairs bathroom on a Wednesday and empty the dishwasher on a Thursday.

The plan goes on to explain that on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the kids must help mum and dad on the first time of asking, and if jobs don't get done, there's 'no pool and no fun'.

The rules also note that the WiFi password will be changed every day, and will not be given out unless jobs are completed.

As the post continues to do the rounds on Facebook, people seem to be absolutely loving the rules, with one person commenting: "I absolutely love this! In fact I’m going to show my lot."

While another said: "Well this is a great idea."

And a third added: "This is fab I think i am going to have to do the same too great idea."

Meanwhile a fourth wrote: "Absolutely love this!"

The mum later replied: "Thanks all! Told them all I’ve worked seriously hard this year to get my 4 weeks off and I’m not spending it clearing up at the back of them everyday! WiFi password and not being able to go in the pool should hopefully keep things on track!"

The kids were given different tasks for different days.

Despite an outpouring of positivity over the post, there were some negative comments from social media users who didn't agree with some of the children's chores.

One person commented: "I’m all for kids helping a little around the house, it’s their home too, but to say you’ve worked too hard to spend summer cleaning, I’m sure the children have too? And 'no jobs no fun!' Maybe it needs softening up a little. Kids aren’t kids for long."
