Vacuuming can be one of our least favourite cleaning tasks and it’s not the kind that you can skip all too regularly.

But what would you say if there was a way to not only vacuum your floors, but mop it too, without you even getting up from the sofa? Sounds too good to be true, right?

Well, that’s exactly what you could do after investing in a high tech robotic vacuum cleaner.

This specific robot vacuum cleaner has plenty of 5-star reviews.

There’s one which people say they now ‘could not live without.’

But does it live up to the hype? Well, the glowing reviews for the Proscenic M9 Robot Vacuum Cleaner appear to suggest it does...

What special features does it have?

By now we're all familiar with the concept of a robotic vacuum cleaner, even if we're not lucky enough to have one. But just in case you haven’t encountered one before, it uses sensors to ensure that it doesn’t bump into items of furniture or get caught on the tread between two rooms, as it vacuums the floors.

It is also battery operated, with Proscenic’s latest model powering along on up to 250 minutes (that's just over four hours) per charge. This means that there won't be trailing wires or cables across the room like you would get from a traditional vacuum.

And obviously, it doesn’t require any pushing or pulling from you, you can even programme it to start vacuuming by voice command by setting this up on the accompanying app.

The unique mop feature helps tackle mucky footprints and paw prints.

However, what makes this specific robot vacuum a bit different from others on the market is that it mops and sweeps, as well as vacuuming. This makes it ideal for dealing with muddy paw and shoe prints, spills and dirt.

Other special features include UV light protection to sanitise bacteria and any allergens, as well as ‘noise proof technology’ which the brand claims is as low as 62 decibels – that’s basically the same as a normal everyday conversation.

At just 3.9 inches tall, it can easily fit under and around furniture, with it having a maximum suction power of 4500Pa (that's pretty darn strong).

It takes the hassle out of vacuuming and mopping our floors.

What are customers saying?

One shopper, who upgraded from the previous model revealed that ‘the big difference however is in the mopping', adding: "Most robots just have a damp cloth they drag over the floor that doesn't do much other than lift up dust. The M9 has dual rotating mops that actually clean the floor."

They also added: ‘have two dogs that provide a never-ending supply of muddy footprints, yet the M9 reliably cleans them up entirely each evening. I couldn't be happier.’

While another happy shopper outlined: "I have had many robot vacuum cleaners, so I'm in a good position to compare them. The suction is very strong on this one. It is noticeable on carpets.

"The mopping ability is excellent. That is the reason I bought it. I never used mopping on my other robot vacuums. But this one is great. … The self-empty base is great as well. Could not live without it. Overall, great product."

The vacuum cleaner is available from amazon.co.uk.
