These Reclining Office Chairs Were Made For People Who Want To Nap At Work

If the 9 to 5 is starting to wear you down, you might have been tempted to sneak to a meeting room for a snooze. But now you can buy a reclining office chair to transform the way you nap at work.

It turns out that there are actually a whole load of reclining office chairs online, whether on Amazon or eBay, and for great prices, including a whole bunch for less than £100.

As well as offering you vital back support, the chairs recline into nearly a fully flat position so that when your work just becomes too stressful, you can bring your bed to your desk and have a much-needed nap.

Research shows that a nap of between 20 and 30 minutes can be more effective as an energy boost than getting more sleep at night, and using caffeine to wake yourself up. Experts advise sleeping no longer than 20 minutes so your nap doesn't affect for rhythm for the evening.

Experts also say that a daytime snooze can even have a huge impact on reducing the risk of a heart attack, with researchers finding that a midday nap can reduce blood pressure by an average of five points, similar to the effects of taking drugs or cutting salt from your diet.

Plus, this very sage advice from Harvard Health Publishing advises that you should never feel guilty about napping as a "well-timed nap can make you more productive at work and at home" - we'll tell that to our colleagues next time we nod off next to our desk.

However, if the chair gives you aeroplane vibes and you need a proper mattress to properly nod off, we give you the nap desk: a truly incredible addition to any workplace. BRB, off to convince our bosses we need these productivity-boosting beds as a matter of urgency...
