It's something we all dread - sending our CV to prospective employers, not realising there's a huge mistake that we've missed. Unfortunately this happened to one unlucky woman and her faux pas has been shared to Reddit.

A man shared a story of how his girlfriend's chances of landed a new job were ruined after she didn't check her CV thoroughly before sending it out to prospective bosses.

She asked her boyfriend to save her CV on his computer, he did not notice that the computer had changed the name on her curriculum vitae to her profile username.

Once he noticed what happened, it became clear why is unlucky girlfriend had failed to get any job offers in three months. He even shared a screenshot of what he found!

He said: "Obligatory this happened 3 months ago & we finally [realised] what happened today.

"One day while my girlfriend was at work she asked me to go on her computer which was open at home.

"All I had to do was re-save her resume in a new file titled "gf's resume".

"Simple right? Wrong... Whilst saving said resume, her computer thought it would be funny to change the name header back to the profile user name.

"PRINCESS BANANA HAMMOCK, which was then shortened to Princess Banana Hamm due to spacing.

"Neither of us noticed. Fast forward to today, she goes to update her resume to apply for a new job and there it was.

"The bane of her existence. We both immediately [realised] why she hasn't been getting called back for any interviews.

"Needless to say she's not too impressed with me right now & I'm not allowed to do anything on her computer for her ever again.

"Happy holidays, at least next year she might get some calls back."

Now that the mistake has been found, we hope 2021 leads to an abundance of job offers for the unlucky woman!
