Prepare to feast your eyes on something mega cute, because a bunch of puppies just went on a trip to an aquarium and they were honestly living their best lives.

The adorable pups, from the Atlanta Humane Society, ventured to the Georgia Aquarium after is closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

With the aquarium empty, the puppies had a brilliant time running up and down the tunnels, perching on the benches, staring through the glass tanks and wagging their adorable little tails.

They had the run of the entire place - and certainly took advantage of having it all to themselves.

They also enjoyed posing in front of the tanks, with shoals of fish swimming behind them. It really is next level cute.

"Our puppies just had the best. day. ever," Atlanta Humane Society wrote on Twitter.

"They got to explore the @GeorgiaAquarium while it is closed to the public. They made all sorts of exciting discoveries and lots of new friends!"

The animal shelter is also currently closed to the public, but explained on social media: "While our facility is currently closed, our staff and volunteers are busy keeping our animals happy and healthy."

And they certainly look happy, with the little pups wagging their tails throughout their day out at the aquarium.

The pups aren't the only animals enjoying a visit to the centre. Last week, we told you how a bunch of penguins were allowed to roam around an aquarium after it closed due to coronavirus.

Shedd Aquarium shared a video of what the penguins have been up to behind closed doors.

One of them can be seen having a guided tour of other areas of the aquarium - and the adorable creature looks absolutely mesmerised.

"Some of the penguins went on a field trip to meet other animals at Shedd," they wrote on Twitter.

"Wellington seemed most interested in the fishes in Amazon Rising! The black-barred silver dollars also seemed interested in their unusual visitor."

They were even spotted roaming around the information desk and exploring other areas of the building.

We're so pleased the animals are having a good time - and more importantly - being so well looked after during the Covid crisis. Keep these cute vids coming please!
