Bride Demands Wedding Guests Spend At Least $400 On Gifts

A bride-to-be has demanded that all of her wedding guests spend at least $400 (£285) on gifts for her big day.

In a post shared on Reddit, the bride explains guests "must" choose from gifts set out on her list, with "no exceptions".

The shocking list includes designer bags, a new car, expensive appliances and tiles for "the entire house".

She wrote: "I've already sent out all the invitations. Meaning most of you have gotten them! Thanks for those who have RSVP'd already. If you have not, then please RSVP by Sunday, otherwise we're not going to be able to have you.

"That being said, I would like to announce our gift registry to everyone! To all those coming to my wedding, there are a list of gifts you can bring. You MUST choose from the list or consult me first. There are no exceptions.

"The list includes: Any KitchenMaid appliances over $350 (£248) this does not mean regular items like an apron or a spatula, I'm talking about their stand mixer, blender etc.

"Any clothes over $400 from Calvin Klein, Moschino or Nora's.

"New floor tiles for the entire house (I know this one is a bit of a stretch but I'd gladly appreciate it).

The screengrab was shared on Reddit and people were shook at the demanding message.

One person commented: "None of [my guests] spent anywhere near $400 on my wedding present and, honestly, it would have been embarrassing for me if they had. I also did not have preapproval of anyone's gift to us, wtf?"

Meanwhile another joked: "I love the 'new car... or anything related to the car' she's going to be thrilled when I choose a steering wheel cover."

And another said: "$400 worth of etiquette books."
