Yesterday Boris Johnson announced that England will go into its second nationwide lockdown which include the closure of non-essential shops.
We believe that safety comes first but we all love a bit of retail therapy from time to time. With trips to the shops looking unlikely for the next four weeks, an Instagram account dedicated to posting pictures of miserable men on shopping trips may keep you occupied until shops are open again.

It's rather appropriately called @miserable_men and it is solely dedicated to posting pictures of when who would clearly prefer to be anywhere else but on that shopping trip. Maybe there are some non-health related benefits to lockdown?
The account has attracted over 351k followers and its growing by the day.
Take a look at some of the funniest posts below:

It's filled with thousands of photos that have been sent in by people from all over the world showcasing men sleeping on the sofas in waiting areas in stores, usually surrounded by shopping bags.
Sulking by shop windows, reading newspapers with a bored expression on their faces, sleeping in all types of places, from a piano stool to what looks like a fake kitchen in Ikea.
Who knew shopping could be so boring for some?

Going on a shopping trip to the local high street or to a shopping centre has become harder in recent months due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Many outlets have had to close temporarily because they are not considered essential.
This means online shopping has become our new best friend and has likely spared hundreds of more men from being featured on this hilarious Instagram account.
We all love a bit of retail therapy... or do we?!
