Bride And Groom Take A Tumble Into A River During Wedding Photoshoot

Bride And Groom Take A Tumble Into A River During Wedding Photoshoot

We're obsessed with these pictures.

For most people, wedding photographs are a precious keepsake to look back on with a tear in your eye, and reminisce about the best day of your life.

But that didn't quite go to plan for one bride and groom, who accidentally took a dip on their big day after plunging into a river in full wedding attire.

Lora Wendorf, 35, and her new husband Jordan Devries, 35, were posing for wedding pictures on a dock when they decided to attempt a bold dance move.

Joking around, the couple tried to recreate a romantic dance move Lora had spotted on Dancing With The Stars, but things went very wrong and they fell over, and tumbled into the river together.

Ok, we shouldn't laugh, but LOOK AT THEM.

These weren't quite the wedding photographs the couple wanted... (

Lora, a social worker, said: "I was just so in the moment and so happy that I said to Jordan: 'Babe give me a dip'.

"I wanted to do a romantic dance move that you see on Dancing With The Stars. But Jordan is not a dancer and neither am I.

"I didn't give him much notice. I did the backwards dip and he wasn't quite ready and I fell into the river.

"My head was under water and I didn't even know what happened."

Here they are moments before the fall... (

When she emerged from the water, she jokily blamed the fail on her new husband who had fallen into the water with her.

She added: "I was in pure shock, it didn't sink in for a few moments. Jordan and I are pretty easy-going people and I said to him: 'You dropped me!'."

After wringing out her soaked wedding dress, poor Lora was forced to sneak into the bathroom and hide from her guests.

There, she says she almost cried (which, given that her makeup, hair and wedding dress were ruined, was pretty good going!)

And...splash (

"I was on the verge of bawling," said Lora, from Vancouver Island, Canada.

"But at that moment my brother-in-law came in and he just started laughing. It made me laugh too."

At that moment, the brave bride did the only thing she could do in that situation: she took a shot, changed her outfit and enjoyed the rest of her wedding.

She added: "I took down my hair, got all the bobby pins out, brushed it and wiped off my eye makeup.

"I took a shot of rum and then a torrential downpour started outside. I just looked at my husband and said: 'Well, I guess we'll go meet the guests soaking wet."

It's a good job these two have a sense of humour! (

Naturally, people did wonder why they were all wet, but Lora just laughed it off, determined to have a good time.

Looking back in hindsight, the couple are still able to see the funny side of the situation.

In fact, Lora and Jordan, a scaffolder, even used the pictures of the ultimate wedding fail in their thank you cards to guests.

"You got to own what happens to you," Lora said. "Life is never going to be how you want it to be.

"Obviously, I wanted the beautiful picture with the sunset but instead we got a hilarious story."

Fair play to these two for laughing it off. This might be our favourite bunch of pictures, ever.
