Gordon Ramsay isn't exactly known for mincing his words - and a recent video of him slating an American mum's take on "British fish & chips" is no exception to the rule.
TikTok user @jchelle36 has become known for botching some of the UK's best-loved dishes, and her version of the traditional seaside classic left Gordon fuming.
Shared as part of his #RamsayReacts TikTok series, the celebrity chef went from baffled to irate in his blow-by-blow takedown of the bizarre recipe.

The hilarious clip opens with enthusiastic mum Michelle on a beach, advising her followers to "go to your local watering hole and find your fish!"
Cut to a questionable-looking dead fish on the shore. Um, how fresh is this find?!
"Watering hole? Find your what?!" Gordon says, frowning to camera.
Then we have the fish cleaning and batter preparation, which left the outspoken chef even more confused.

Michelle rinses her mystery fish - which she calls a cod - under a tap, before cutting its head off with a knife and fork.
Gordon watches in horror as she doesn't de-bone or gut the fish, and proceeds to ruin a batter recipe.
The 'batter' consists of an egg yolk, some flour, sugar, and root beer - plus some salt and pepper for seasoning.
"Egg yolk? No," cries Gordon in distress.

As the sugar is tipped into the bowl, the angry chef shouts louder: "No!"
The cheery mum then proceeds to smother her fish in the oozy batter. Gordon comments that the mix looks like "puke" and is "diaper thick".
Next, the battered raw fish is bunged into the microwave (yes, really) for 20 minutes.
"In the microwave? Are you kidding me? You've lost the plot!" yells Gordon.

The smiley TikToker concludes: "And THAT is how you make British fish and chips."
"You've never been to Britain," is Gordon's unimpressed verdict.

With over 1 million likes and more than 16K comments, the reaction clip went down a storm with Gordon's TikTok followers - and we can see why, tbh.
