Pet owners know how hard it can be to work from home when all your pup wants to do is play ball outside (just one look at those puppy dog eyes and we're suddenly in the garden).

But people have found a genius solution to the problem and it will keep your furry friend ‘entertained for hours on end’.

With thousands of rave reviews on Amazon, the ball launcher in question has been called a ‘saviour’ for those who WFH, and it’s not hard to see why.

“I have a new puppy with all sorts of energy and I don’t always have time to get out to the dog park,” one five-star review reads. “She took to this quickly and was able to use it by herself on the second day. It’s great to keep her busy and burn some of that crazy puppy energy.”

Another happy customer agreed, as they wrote: “My Cocker Spaniel loves this thing. I set it up in my office at home and it shoots down the hallway. I can play with my dog and work from home at the same time!!! I would highly recommend it.”

A third added, “My Jack Russell absolutely loves this! It’s the best play thing l have ever bought him, especially as when the nights draw in, his walks get shorter and he hates the bad weather! After walk, he can’t wait to get back indoors to play with this for about an hour, it keeps him fit as l have a long hallway so he really has to run to catch it!”

One customer even went so far as to claim their dog was 'actually smiling' whilst playing with the gadget. Cute.

The only problem? You do need to train your dog to put the ball back inside the launcher each time, and unfortunately, not all dogs seem to get the hang of it so quickly.

“We were hoping this would minimise us having to throw the ball every two minutes for our ball-obsessed pup, but unfortunately she just doesn't have the brain for it and drops the ball next to it every time,” one customer wrote. “We have watched videos of (more clever) dogs who can entertain themselves for hours with it. Hey ho… it's still a good purchase and she might get the hang of it one day!”

TheAll For Paws Automatic Ball Launcher is designed to enable your pup to play ball, no matter how busy you are. The gadget will launch the ball into the air for your dog to catch and retrieve.
