If you’re someone who likes to finish what they start, then I’d suggest steering clear of this YouTube video that’s 140 years long.

That’s not a typo. Even though video content typically ranges between a few minutes and under an hour long for the sake of people’s attention spans, this one is different.

To be fair, there are also plenty of videos out there that are hours long, as they have the purpose of putting you to sleep via AI-generated content or simple nature sounds.

But one upload has gone past this time range by miles, leaving people absolutely baffled when they click on it and realise just how many hours it is.

When something is nearly 1.5 centuries long, you’re going to want to know why.

But imagine trying to quickly fast-forward to see what it includes?

According to Dexerto, the video of 140 years is nothing more than a black screen, uploaded by a user named 'shinywr'.

As for its title, don’t even think about believing it could hold any clue to what the video is about, as the only thing it has is one question mark.

Which is what everyone else thinks when watching it.

If you visit the page in question, you’ll see the video is there with its length of time listed as '1,234,567:30:00', which is just under 141 years in total, if my maths is right.

WHAT 'ACCEPTING COOKIES' REALLY DOES

But it could be even longer than that, as it might have just been clipped due to what YouTube can handle on its platform for a single video.

If so, that’s pretty impressive of YouTube to be able to handle that size of a video and not crash out on the page.

To be fair, the reason it doesn’t crash is probably due to the fact that when you click on the video, it suddenly changes to 12 hours, 34 minutes, and 56 seconds, which is playable, and it stops playing once the length of time has been reached.

Oddly, if the video is embedded into a news article (look above and see if it works), the time can also display 51440:07:30:00.

At the time of writing, the video, despite providing nothing to the viewer, has 3.8 million views.

For those who have seen it, they find the entire concept to be one big joke.

"So we're all here on a random Saturday," someone wrote.

"Gonna report this for nudity so that YouTube has to watch the whole thing," another said as a third predicted that ‘this is gonna have some insane lore in 10 years’.

The channel also has a '294-hour-long video' and a YouTube Short that isn’t so short as it apparently lasts 150 hours.
