After seeing the hack on TV years ago, Mum Marea Pearse was doubtful the hack would work but has since changed her mind, Speaking to Plymouth Live, she said: "I saw the hack some time ago on the TV. I waited ages to try it not thinking it would work, but lo and behold it's brilliant, so have been passing on my knowledge.

A cleaning expert has shared their view on why leaving a dirty oven rack in the grass can help with cleaning. Nigel Bearman, the owner of Daily Poppins, said: "We have recently seen this trend popping up on the web and we would be lying if we said we weren’t curious. The hack, first suggested by Mr Hinch, a household favourite on social media, advises that you simply place an oven rack on grass and leave it over night.

"We think that there are two elements that are making this trick viable. Grass is made up of a lot of water but notably phosphoric acid. We believe that the combination of a lengthy amount of time (overnight) and the diluted acid plays a part in this new trick spreading across the internet."

So there you go, a new savvy trick for getting your oven sparkling with minimal effort.
