Woman 'felt like she laid an egg' after she farted and her womb fell out of her vagina

One woman was left with a bulge in her pants after her womb fell out

One woman's fart led to a truly horrifying ordeal - after passing wind led to her womb falling out of her vagina.

Lauren, who goes by @fresnonightcrawler on TikTok, felt like she had 'laid a egg' when she suffered uterine prolapse.

Explaining the predicament in a TikTok video that has since racked up over two million views, the 19-year-old explained that it occurred when she was 17.

Lauren explained: "I farted really loud and it suddenly felt like I had laid an egg, like I was sitting on a tennis ball in my bed, like I was lying on top of one.

"I couldn't get comfortable and I'm walking around and I feel like something is, like did I sh** myself? Like something is out.

"I can't figure out what it is and then I got to the bathroom and I look and I am like do I have a penis?"

Upon closer inspection, Lauren discovered that something truly shocking had happened to her.

Lauren said: "Turns out my uterus fell out, which doesn't usually happen until you're in your mid-70s when your pelvic floor decides it has given up.

"Turns out when you push when you poop, it weakens your pelvic floor so much that your uterus could fall out and you just have to stick it back in."

The pelvic floor muscles support other organs in a woman's body such as the bowel and bladder in addition to the uterus and vagina.

Fortunately, a prolapse is not life threatening, even though it is understandably extremely uncomfortable.

Medical treatment is sometimes needed, but usually changes in lifestyle and pelvic exercises can help reduce the symptoms.

Most women affected by uterine prolapse are those who have gone through menopause or had one or more vaginal deliveries during childbirth.

Lauren's prolapse was caused by 'intestinal issues', with her explaining further: "I've been in a lot of pain before and this felt like a two - it just felt like a pinch."

Lauren shared the story of her uterine prolapse to TikTok.

As a final bit of advice, Lauren told her followers: "Just don't strain when you poop."

Naturally, viewers were a mix of baffled and horrified upon hearing Lauren's story.

One woman commented: "Wait so now I have to worry about my uterus falling out naturally when I’m old?", whilst another remarked: "Now i’m gonna be overthinking every fart."

While another commenter wrote: "This is going to drive me crazy for the rest of my life."

In a similar vein, someone else said: "I am never pooping or farting again."

I think it's safe to say we all learned a little something today.

Every day's a school day, right?
