Video Shows What People Who Need Glasses Actually See

This is mind-blowing!

An optometrist has demonstrated what the world looks like for people who need different glasses prescriptions to see clearly.

Dr Michael Farr (@dr.mfarr) created the video which he then shared to TikTok and Instagram, showing his followers just how difficult it is for some people to see without their glasses. Check it out here:

While the strong-eyed viewers were blown away by how unclear their view was in the video, many took to the comment section to confirm that it really was a reality for glasses-wearers.

"-5 here… so accurate" wrote one person.

A second nearsighted viewer chimed in: "Hello it’s me at -6.5 ish", while a fourth claimed: "I’m the lovely -4.00".

And a fifth admitted: "I was so excited to see my prescription come up but the video didn’t go long enough to get that bad."

People were blown away by the video.

Some viewers thanked Dr Farr for making the video, sharing that they watched to understand how their loved ones saw the world, or saved it to share their own experience with their friends.

One wrote: "Thank you for sharing. Great example of the importance of respecting folks where they are whether that's vision or on a learning journey. We see/ perceive what we can. Everyone is different."

A second shared: "My 2 year old is -10.50 in one eye. I can’t believe this! Thank you for sharing this video… really helps me understand just how weak her eye is."

And a third commented: "thank you for making these! I've worn glasses for 30 years & it's difficult to get others to understand what's it like."

Some viewers couldn't believe how blurry the image got.

Other nearsighted viewers were feeling less vindicated and more irritated - reminded that some people are walking around every day with clear vision, no glasses necessary.

"Sad that some people can see clearly for free lol" wrote one bitter glasses-wearer.

"Wait... I sometimes forget that people just.... See.... For free...." joked another.

We'll never take our sight for granted again!
