One expecting mother was quick to shut down comments from mum-shamers who told her that her baby bump was "too small".

TikToker Caroline Hjelle was excited to show off her bump at 32 weeks, but was quickly met with comments from concerned mums who couldn't help but notice the size of her belly.

Unfazed by the hate, Caroline was happy to educate the mums in her comment section.

The mum-to-be was responding to just one of the many offhanded remarks about her unusually small baby bump that have popped up on her TikTok.

As well as jokes suggesting that Caroline's baby belly is no bigger than a "food gut", she's also regularly interrogated about her height, age, and health history.

Taking it all with a pinch of salt, the TikToker tries to make light of the situation - and school her haters in the meantime.

"My bump is small because I’m tall. My doctors aren’t concerned at all!" she told one worried mum.

"5’11” so there’s a lot of room for baby to grow up!" she explained to another.

Drowning out the comments from confused and concerned TikTok viewers, others are showing Caroline huge support and can't wait to see her baby in eight weeks time.

"Awww this is adorable 🥺 can’t wait to see baby 🥰" commented one follower.

"Omg you look sooo so pretty and cute🥰🥰🥰. I wish I have such a cutie small bump 😅" wrote another.

A third added: "No bump is too big or too small!"

One mum who had a baby bump just as small as Caroline's commented: "My bump was about this small at full term, and I remember being so insecure about it. 🤦🏽‍♀️I wish I would’ve shown it off. Congrats btw 🤍."

Of course, bumps can come in all shapes and sizes, and once a mum and baby's doctor is happy with the pregnancy, there's nothing to worry about.

One Danish mum recently shocked the internet when she revealed her own unusual bump before giving birth to triplets.

Michella Meier Morsi had been documenting her progress when people started to notice that her baby belly was particularly long, leaving many of her followers "speechless".

Michella confessed that she was struggling with "extreme pain" as a result of the baby bump that grew "straight out" rather than "up and down", but is now on the mend after giving birth to beautiful babies Charles, Theodore and Gabriel.
