A secret McDonald's hack allows you to bag app discounts in restaurants.

If you have the McDonald's app, you'll know that often, some offers are only available either on the app, or by going through the drive-thru.

But did you know you can also get some of the offers in restaurants, too?

Earlier this week on Pancake Day, the fast food chain launched a 99p pancake offer, via the app or through the drive-thru. But one McDonald's fan pointed out: "You can also get the QR code off the app and scan it on the machines inside the store for the offer."

So how can you get your hands on offers inside the restaurants, too?

Well, a spokesperson explained how it works to Tyla. They revealed that customers need to head to the 'offers' section of the app, before clicking on the deal they want to redeem, pressing 'add your code' and showing the QR code at a scanner inside a McDonald's restaurant or at the kiosk.

"Alternatively, if they are going through Drive Thru, they need to present the four digit code before ordering," they said.

We can't believe we never knew this!

In other McDonald's news, we recently told you about a simple trick that'll get you a mouth-watering secret McDonald's dessert that's not even on the menu.

Food content creator Adrian Widjy took to TikTok to share the delicious treat with his 131,100 followers that combines a McFlurry with a hot apple pie. Genius!

In the video, Adrian is seen using a spoon to fill the cold McFlurry vanilla ice cream into his piping hot apple pie - and people are loving the idea.

"It doesn't matter what kind of McFlurry you get, the hack will still work in the same way," said the foodie. You can read more and watch the video here.
