Brits Are Losing It As American Drinks Ribena Totally Wrong

Brits Are Losing It As American Drinks Ribena Totally Wrong

'YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO MIX IT WITH WATER I AM DEAD'

Americans really do seem to be fascinated with British food culture. When Chrissy Teigen tweeted about jacket potatoes people's lives were turned upside down over in the US. And a massive debate also recently erupted about the difference between Yorkshire puddings and 'fluffy popovers'.

But now Americans have discovered Ribena for the first time, and their response is hilarious.

After one TikTok user from the UK boasted about how we get Ribena in our stores, an American TikToker, named @hollyauna decided to purchase some on Amazon - however she went for the squash version rather than the concentrated drink.

And not understanding this, she then proceeded to swig it down.

Watch the video below:

Honestly, we love the internet.

"Ribena is made from blackcurrent plants, and yeah, we don't have these in the US," she said.

"I've never heard of these before."

She then took a big gulp, stared wide eyed at the camera, and said: "That's really good!"

"Oh my gosh!!!! No you need to mix that one with water!," one person wrote.

The TikToker swigged the squash straight (

While another penned: "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO MIX IT WITH WATER I AM DEAD!"

"All us Brits watching her drink this straight from the bottle like..." another wrote, alongside a nervous looking emoji.

A fourth simply said: "SHE DID NOT JUST-"

The TikTok user said she'd never heard of Ribena or blackcurrents (

"I'm sitting here going...oh god please don't drink it neat... oh Jesus Christ....no no no NOOOOOO".

Responding to the mass outrage, the TikTok user then posted another video, explaining: "Before this week I never heard of squash or cordial, and I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to call it.

"People are calling it diluting juice. Some people just call it fruit juice.

"On the back, here are the directions I did not read in the beginning and there we go... one part squash for four parts water."

Don't worry babe, you live and you learn, eh?
