Christmas is right around the corner, and with the cost of living crisis at the forefront of people’s minds, families are understandably worried about how they’re going to juggle the cost of presents, festive food and lights and decorations amid their rising bills.

Well, one TikToker has shown those worried about the cost of this festive season that it is possible to prepare for Christmas on a budget, as they managed to scramble up an entire Christmas dinner with dessert included for under £24. And we have to say, we’re impressed.

Nabbing what is arguably the most important part of the Christmas meal for just £13.99, the TikTok user, who goes by the username @costoflivingcrisistips on the site, got their hands on a Small British Turkey Crown which serves between four to six people.

Next up on their budget Christmas dinner haul was Sage & Onion Stuffing Mix for just 43p, whilst Gravy Granules and frozen Yorkshire Puddings were just 95 and 79p, respectively.

Carrots were also purchased at just 45p a bag, while Specially Selected Duck Fat Potatoes were purchased for a more premium price of £2.39 a bag, which is still reasonable when you think about it.

A Christmas classic, Brussels Sprouts were bought for just 69p a bag, while a Six Month Christmas Pudding, a pudding must on the special day, was just £3.69.

You can’t eat the festive dessert without custard, of course, so the money-savvy expert picked up a carton of Ready To Serve Custard for just 55p.

Going on to feed a family of six with just £23.93, onlookers seemed to be impressed with his budget finds at Aldi.

“I’ve been getting all my bits from Aldi I’m really impressed with the turkey I got,” one viewer wrote, while another added: “That's pretty decent.”

“This is amazing!! Thank you for sharing,” another wrote.

But others took to the comments to remind the TikTok creator about the ingredients to his Christmas feast that he ‘forgot’, including parsnips, cranberry sauce and pigs in blankets.

Well, for an extra £3.03, you can ramp up your festive feast even more with those hard-to-resist extras at the supermarket.

To break that down, that would be 49p for a 500g bag of Everyday Essentials ‘Wonky’ Parsnips, £1.99 for a box of 12 frozen Let’s Party Pigs In Blankets and 55p for a jar of Bramwells Whole Cranberry Sauce.
