While Madonna may be best known for her decade-spanning career as a pop icon delivering smash hit after smash hit, she's also a mother to six children.
Her eldest, Lourdes Leon, was born in 1996, followed by son Rocco Ritchie in 2000, with the 'Like a Virgin' singer welcoming the other four children through adoption.
Madonna adopted David Banda from Malawi in 2006, followed by Mercy James in 2009.
She later adopted twins Estere and Stella Ciccone from Malawi in 2017.

All six children have since grown up in their own very different ways, with Mercy, in particular, taking a surprisingly low-key route into the working world.

The 20-year-old has reportedly been working behind the scenes on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
A source recently told the Daily Mail that they saw Mercy working at the late-night show's studio in New York City a few weeks ago.
"She is lovely, just the sweetest, most adorable girl," the insider said.

Madonna's friend Rosie O'Donnell was the first to publicly reveal Mercy's job during a recent interview with PEOPLE.
"We text each other often, and I just saw her daughter on Watch What Happens Live," the comedian, 64, shared. "Her daughter, Mercy, works there."
"And it’s funny, Andy goes 'Look!' And I thought he was introducing me to just a staff member," said O’Donnell. "And I was like, 'Hi, what’s your name?' And she goes, 'Rosie, it’s Mercy!' And I was like, 'Oh my God, what are you doing here?'"

O’Donnell added: "But she’s worked there for like a year or so. So I was very happy for her and proud of her."
While Mercy has been building experience behind the scenes, her siblings have been pursuing their own interests.
Lourdes, Madonna's eldest child who she shares with fitness trainer Carlos Leon, has built a career as a musician and model while Rocco, Madonna's son with film director Guy Ritchie, has pursued art, and David has explored music and performance.
The youngest four have also spent much of their childhood in the spotlight, with Madonna frequently sharing glimpses of family life on social media.
Last month (19 July), Madonna performed in the FIFA World Cup half-time show alongside the likes of Justin Bieber, Shakira and BTS.
Opening the show, she sang her 2000 hit song 'Music' which was mashed up with elements of 'Disco Inferno' as well as 'Danceteria'.
