Guys, it’s FINALLY here... Yep, more than one year after the first instalment dropped, it’s time for The Traitors season two!!!

And judging from the trailer, we’re in for another wild ride:

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman and filmed in the stunning Scottish Highlands, the UK’s 'nail-biting psychological reality competition' sees 22 strangers play the 'ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust' in the hope of winning up to £120,000.

A tagline from the BBC says: “Get them before they get you. 22 strangers, one castle, £120k - Claudia Winkleman hosts the ultimate reality game of trust and treachery. Let the mind games begin.”

We frankly cannot be more excited for round two to begin after the first series had us instantly hooked when it was released at the end of last year.

The new season starts tonight.

Desperate for more, many of us went on to get a further fix from the USA and Australian versions - all based on the original Dutch TV show De Verraders (Dutch for 'The Traitors'), which premiered back in 2021.

Thankfully, the BBC later confirmed the UK show would be making a return this January - with host Claudia Winkleman saying ahead of its launch: “The missions this year are epic.

“The producers are so clever as the missions are incredibly important as it is a chance for the contestants to switch off from strategising and plotting.

“They get fresh air, they run around, they work as a team.

“The scale this year is beyond.”

When asked if she could give viewers any hints of ‘anything new to come’ in the new series, Winkleman remained fairly tight-lipped – but did reveal one major shake-up to the format.

“I wish I could,” she replied. “I think I’m allowed to say the armoury has gone and now there’s a kitchen. That’s it!”

Host Claudia Winkleman said 'the scale this year is beyond'.

After getting a trailer for the new season, fans were ‘buzzed’ for the drama to start up again.

One commented: “Cannot wait to watch it.”

Someone else said: “Just finished watching season one! SO GOOD! Cannot wait for season 2!”

A third wrote: ”Could not be more excited.”

A fourth added: “I’M BUZZED, Christmas miracle honestly , I LITERALLY CANT WAIT.”

Better still, the BBC has already announced that the show will also be coming back for a third series.

Watch the new series of The Traitors UK from 3 January on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
