Viewers have been hailing an incredible thriller that will leave you ‘on the edge of your seat’, and it looks like THE perfect watch once you’ve finished with The Red King.

The ‘absolutely horrifying’ series debuted on TV a few weeks back, but has become an instant streaming hit via Sky and NOW after people decided they simply couldn’t wait for weekly instalments.

Starring the likes of Anjli Mohindra and Jill Halfpenny, The Red King follows police sergeant Grace Narayen as she is sent to a fictional Welsh island in search of a missing boy.

Since landing on TV a few weeks back, many viewers have been hooked, with some fans admitting they’ve rattled through the entire series in no time.

Google has a handy ‘more like this’ function, where it displays several suggestions of TV shows that are similar to the one you’re searching for.

And top of that list is another series that viewers recently enjoyed after it hit the box a couple of weeks back.

And the best news is that, because it’s already been on TV, you won’t have to wait to binge-watch the show in full.

Also starring Halfpenny, The Cuckoo is a psychological drama from Channel 5 that lets us into the lives of the Haynes family - Nick (Lee Ingleby), Jessica (Claire Goose) and daughter Alice (Freya Hannan-Mills) - and their desperate need for a fresh start following some bad financial decisions.

Watch the trailer below:

They decide to take in a house lodger Sian (Halfpenny) to alleviate some of the pressure, but their life unravels when said lodger unmasks her true identity and reveals dark family secrets, sparking chaos and destruction.

After it aired, many people were instantly obsessed, with one tweeting: “Great cast and an edge of the seat storyline. Never seen jill halfpenny play a role like this, she was brilliant. I loved the ending.

"I hope there is a season 2. It seems channel 5 is the home of top quality dramas.”

Someone else said: “Did watch the cuckoo on channel 5 it was amazing the cuckoo was yet another well made drama on @channel5_tv.”

A third wrote: “Oh channel 5… a new thriller with Jill Halfpenny… tres fantisque ! #thecuckoo,.”
