Just in time for spooky season, there's a brand-new murder series that's just come out on Sky and people are already beyond obsessed.

The six-part series, which is based an adaptation of the book with the same name, has not only been hailed for being 'bloody twisted' and extremely 'depraved' but has even been compared to Baby Reindeer - and people are begging for more.

Starring the likes of Fallout's Ella Purnell, Calam Lynch, Nicôle Lecky and Leah Harvey, the comedy-drama hit our screens just last night (10 October) but it's clear that sofa critics are already itching for their next fix.

Dubbed a 'coming-of-rage' thriller, the plot follows Rhiannon Lewis (Purnell) - a quiet wallflower who doesn't make much of an impression at the start.

However, everything changes when she's pushed over the edge after bumping into a high school bully and loses control, developing a vengeful and liberating taste for murder in the midst of all the chaos.

Rhiannon’s life transforms, but can she keep her killer secret?

With undertones of murder woven throughout alongside nail-biting tension and a delicious dose of dark comedy, it's no surprise it's already scored an impressive perfect 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series is none other than Sweetpea and you can check out the official trailer here:

People clearly can't get enough of the stuff, given the parallels with the tone of the Netflix smash-hit series fronted by comedian Richard Gadd.

One X user praised: "Sweetpea was bloody twisted! A quirky arc of an oddball girl who started out a victim but ended up becoming the very wretched person whom she herself would stab in a heartbeat.

"Ella Purnell as Rhiannon was terrific. Disturbingly manic & devilishly entertaining."

"10 minutes into #Sweetpea and fully understand why Rhiannon wants to kill everyone. She has my full support in her murderous endeavours," gushed a second.

A third pointed out: "Reminiscent of Baby Reindeer's comedy/tension tightrope walk, the insanely darkly funny Sweetpea has just been added to Sky and NOW. Highly recommended."

While a fourth quipped that they 'will be seated for anything with Ella in it'.

Begging for another fix of the fantastic series, a fifth piped up: "Me when all illegal sites are out of sync with the audio for Sweetpea ep 2 I just want watch all 6 eps at once!"

"I NEED TO KNOW HOW PEOPLE ARE WATCHING IT," exclaimed a sixth while another echoed: "All the reviews say Sweetpea is great but I'm still genuinely so bummed out that it's only 6 episodes, I hate modern television."

And a final X user rejoiced: "I didn't realize Sweetpea was a series man I'm excited for ep 2."

I know what I'll be doing this weekend!

Sweetpea is currently available to stream on NOW TV.
