We're less than 24 hours away from the latest and final season of Stranger Things finally dropping on Netflix.
Netflix users have been waiting since 2022 for the next instalment of the horror TV series, which has been running now since 2016. However, it's coming to an end with season five set to come out at today (26 November) - or 1 am tomorrow morning (27 November) if you're in the UK.
We'll get the first four episodes then with Volume 1. Volume 2 will arrive on Christmas Day, 25th December, and the finale will be with us a few days later on New Year's Eve on the 31st December.
What many Stranger Things fans may not know, however, is that one cast member accidentally spoiled a major storyline way back when the show first started nearly a decade ago.

Back in 2016, the likes of Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson on the series, managed to accidentally reveal the twist ending of the fourth season.

During a group interview, Matarazzo addressed a number of fan theories about the show, saying: "Other test subjects, besides Eleven, One through Ten, most of them were dead, but the others were banished to the Upside Down. Like, they couldn’t get out.
"Because they were in the Upside Down for so long, and you can see that it had an effect on Will, it had an effect on them because they were in it for so long. They transformed into what was the monster. So the monster was a recent test subject."

His co-star, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, can then be heard gasping at the end of the clip.

It didn't take long for the comments section to seriously heat up with many suggesting that the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, had been inspired by the fan theory.
"That one fan who came up with this theory must be grinning real good right now," one Netflix fan wrote.

A second chimed in: "Guys, he was talking about his favourite fan theory. It’s either that the creators took notes from it or just a coincidence."
And a third added: "It wasn’t a spoiler, it's just that Gaten is a genius."
Whatever you think, it's clear we're all very excited to find out what happens in the very last season of the beloved programme.
Stranger Things 5 will release four episodes on November 26 (US time), three episodes on Christmas and the finale episode on New Year's Eve.
