Following a binge of the two-hour-long finale, fans of the show have been sharing mixed opinions, with some happy with how it all played out and others less than impressed.
One person who has kept her cards quite close to her chest is Millie, who plays Eleven in the series and has done since it began in 2016.

Her character didn't exactly get a happy ending - there are major spoilers ahead, so click off now if you're yet to watch!
To summarise, in a dramatic final showdown, Eleven and her friends take on Vecna and the Mind Flayer, while Hopper (David Harbour) and Murray (Brett Gelman) set up a bomb to wipe out the entire Upside Down.
They win, specifically thanks to the help of Joyce (Winona Ryder) and manage to rescue the trapped kids.
However, to stop anyone ever reopening the gates, Eleven sacrifices herself stays behind as the Upside Down collapses.
She says a tear-jerking goodbye to Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and tells him: "None of this will ever end, not if I'm still here,” before disappearing along with the world she’s spent years fighting.

Her friends decide to believe she somehow survived and is living somewhere far away where nobody knows who she is, but the truth is that they, and we, might never know - talk about a cliffhanger.
The Duffer brothers themselves told Tudum that they intentionally left it up to the viewers 'to decide what they think happens to Eleven'.
Now, if you cast your mind back to November last year, before season five was released, Millie did an interview with the YouTube channel Hugo Gloss alongside her co-star Noah Schnapp, where she was asked whether she's happy with her character's ending.
And fans are convinced that her reaction gave the ending away, as she pulled an awkward face before simply nodding and saying: "Mm-hm." Check it out:
Fans wrote on Twitter: "Her face says it all," and "That reaction says more than any spoiler ever could."
And others agreed: "Hers was the worst ending ngl," and "She might as well have blinked 'It Sucks' in Morse code."
On top of this, another fan also pointed out that her Instagram post about the show being wrapped only included one black and white picture of herself and the Duffer brothers.
They penned: "Millie’s only posts about the finale being of el and mileven… oh yeah she’s p*ssed."
While a second responded: "And I'm with her on this one. They really did her and her character dirty."
