An 'awkward' video of Simon Cowell clapping as he arrived at The Jennifer Hudson Show has gone viral.

The moment in question saw the Britain's Got Talent judge, 65, make his way down the iconic 'Spirit Tunnel' before his appearance on the talk show.

For those unfamiliar, as guests make their way to the interview couch, staff members stand along the hallway and serenade them a cappella with a song, which to be honest, sounds a little strange anyway.

On Monday (22 September), Simon was treated to a version of the tune 'The Greatest Show' from the musical The Greatest Showman, however, the lyrics were swapped out to be specific to him.

He was filmed as he made his way down the corridor, clapping along, however, the internet has been left baffled by his unusual way way of clapping as well as how awkward the whole thing looks.

But we have to give it to him, we're not sure anyone would be too comfortable with this bizarre situation - it gives the same vibes as not knowing where to look when someone sings 'Happy Birthday'.

As the clip had done the rounds on social media, one Twitter user joked: "Ah, yes. My hands. My normal, human hands. We must clap with my normal, human hands. Congratulation."

"New clap style unlocked," said a second, while a third wrote: "In all my life I have never ever seen a man clap like this."

"That was the most awkward unseasoned tunnel walk," someone else chimed in with.

Meanwhile, another social media user hilariously questioned: "I can’t lie this Simon Cowell video terrifies me deeply, the whole thing looks fake and awkward as hell what the hell is this?"

Somebody else claimed: "The most awkward walk out I’ve ever seen in my life."

While one viewer penned: "He’s so incredibly British."

However, despite others' comments, it appears that Simon seemed to thoroughly enjoy the tunnel walk and even wanted to do it again once it was over.

Before walking on set, he joked: "Can I do that again?"

And when host Jennifer later asked: "Did you enjoy the spirit tunnel Simon?" The music mogul replied: "I absolutely loved that, when they told me about it, it is seriously the best way of coming onto a show, seriously do you mind if I steal it for AGT [America's Got Talent]."

The musician responded: "We will do it for you on it, if you want."

Simon added: "I wanted to do it twice, maybe I'll do it on the way back."
