Murder mystery fans are rejoicing as Agatha Christie's Seven Dials has finally landed on Netflix.

In the new adaptation of Christie’s 1929 book The Seven Dials Mystery, Lady Eileen 'Bundle' Brent(played by Mia McKenna-Bruce, is drawn into a growing conspiracy, and no one is safe.

As described by Tudum, it all started with a simple practical joke, but now people are turning up dead. Bundle may be an unlikely sleuth, but she must unravel the mystery before it’s too late.

Alongside McKenna Bruce, the TV show has a star-studded cast including Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Caterham, Martin Freeman as Battle, Corey Mylchreest as Gerry Wade, Edward Bluemel as Jimmy Thesiger and Nabhaan Rizwan as Ronnie Devereux.

All three episodes landed on Netflix on Thursday (15 January) - so fans have had time to binge-watch and share their thoughts.

The crime show has earned a mixed bag of reviews and while the critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes is currently 71 percent, the audience score of the Agatha Christie adaptation is a disappointing 57 percent.

The Guardian gave it two stars and brutally branded it a 'terrible adaption' while The Telegraph's three-star review questioned: "Plots have been changed, characters added. The book wasn’t one of Christie’s best, and you do wonder: if it takes this many alterations to make it succeed as a TV drama, why bother adapting it at all?" Ouch.

One Reddit user very brutally penned: "Currently watching the new Agatha Christie mini series. Mia McKenna Bruce is the worst actress I've ever seen. You can see her 'acting' every second. It just seems so unnatural.

"Also, the lens/filter choice makes every picture look like a drunk scene in another movie might look. Lazy directing. The amount of good content that Netflix releases has really shrunk to a minimum."

While a second agreed: "I was expecting so much more from it especially with the cast and how they advertised it. Left disappointed."

And a third wrote: "I started watching it and couldn't believe how amateur it looked. it does become halfway decent in the middle though."

Meanwhile others chimed in with: "Worse than that is changing the plot" and "Did anyone find the sound really off? Some of the actors mumbled others were so quiet it was hard to hear them. It was so annoying."

However, as we say, others really enjoyed it and have rushed to the TV show's defence, with one writing: "I thought it was enjoyable, was visually interesting, and had some decent dialogue (didn’t feel written by AI like some other Netflix films). Unpopular opinion, but I liked the lead actress."

Others agreed: "I liked her. She was good" and "I enjoyed it and disagree with the opinion regarding the acting as well. This is so much better than most Netflix limited series where the dialogue is stilted and the acting mediocre at best. This was clever and fun."

While another fan chimed in with: "It's an entertaining series. I'm surprised by the strong negative responses here."
