Peaky Blinders fans were treated to the latest instalment in the hit franchise last week, when the long-awaited film finally hit cinemas.

After what felt like an eternity of waiting, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man landed on the big screen last Friday (6 March), giving cinephiles a good few weeks of cinema-viewing until it starts streaming on Netflix later this month (20 March).

Cillian Murphy has reprised his role as the iconic Tommy Shelby for the historical crime drama, while fellow Irish actor Barry Keoghan also joined the cast.

The likes of Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle and Packy Lee also returned to their roles as Hayden Stagg, Ada Shelby and Johnny Doggs, respectively.

Meanwhile, Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson also joined the star-studded cast.

A synopsis for the film reads: "Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.

"With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons and choose whether to confront his legacy or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…"

It's clear Murphy doesn't play when it comes to spoilers, either, given the stern warning he recently issued to fans.

One clip recorded by a fan, which plays at the beginning of the film, sees the Hollywood A-lister instructing viewers: "Spoilers are terrible, keep it to yourself. By order of the Peaky Blinders."

It didn't take long for fans to rush in and share their reactions to Murphy's request, with one X user writing: "Yesss!!! Very Cillian coded and gave everyone a great laugh before this wild ride."

A second declared: "If anyone spoiled, they're not part of the Peaky Blinders."

"Saw it yesterday. Loved that he did that," praised a third.

Another penned: "Wish he would've said 'By the order of the Peaky f*cking Blinders'."

And a final fan echoed: "Wish he said this in the Tommy Shelby voice, more menacing."

While obeying Murphy's wishes and not giving away too much, we can confirm that the film has received some pretty good reviews with an impressive 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer while IMDb rates it a cool 7.8/10.

Reckon you'll be watching it?

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is currently available to watch in selected cinemas before streaming on Netflix later this month (20 March).
